This is why at The Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations in New York (11-22 March 2019) we must continue to advocate that CSW addresses and explores intersectionality. Intersectionality illustrates how different kinds of discrimination interplay, whether it’s based on gender, race, age, class, socioeconomic status, physical or mental ability, gender or sexual identity, religion, or ethnicity.
